Volunteers Needed to Host Sunday Plaza Socials

HOSPITALITY NEEDS ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS TO HOST OUR SUNDAY PLAZA SOCIALS! Seasonally, FPC has a weekly Plaza Social immediately following each Sunday Service from April-September, weather permitting. We rely on and encourage the congregational support of this event. What a wonderful opportunity the Plaza Social is to steward fellowship for our Church. Please consider it as one of your contributions back to your Church. The expectations are simple and are as follows:

  • Bring light snacks of your choice for the congregation to enjoy after the Service
  • Arrive early to prepare lemonade and water or drink of your choice. Cups, tablecloth and napkins will be in the parlor - all provided by the Church.
  • Stage everything in parlor or back hall prior to service. Head Usher will have table and trash can set up for you.
  • Leave service in advance to finish setting up: staging drinks in advance and setting snacks out.
  • Stay for duration of social (hold it to 30 minutes). You are in charge of breakdown, cleaning and returning items necessary to Family Center as well as taking the trash.

Please contact the church office at 524-3051 or fpcbeaufort@centurylink.net if you are willing to serve in this way. Thank you for your consideration.

From The Green Team!

In response to God’s call to love and care for His creation, First Presbyterian Church of Beaufort formed an Environmental Stewardship Committee earlier this year. Our goal is to purposefully strive to become better stewards of God’s entrusted creation. We ask all members to join us in joyfully committing to preserve Earth’s beauty so that generations to come may enjoy the abundant gifts of our environment.
